I Am Chocolate

Pop psych scores again! Apparently, your favorite ice cream flavor says a lot about you. Yeah, sure. So, let's examine this more closely. My favorite ice cream flavor is, naturally, chocolate. Most varieties of chocolate, actually.

"Chocolate: You’re more likely to be dramatic, lively, charming, flirtatious, seductive and gullible."

Okay, so I can be gullible. My father discovered this when I was a kid. I was easy to fake out. Like the time I was walking into the living room while eating M&Ms and he casually turned to my mother and said, "Didn't they just announce on the news that they were recalling M&Ms?" My reaction was instant. I spit out the M&Ms I'd just put in my mouth. I have learned, over the years, to be a bit more cynical, a bit more suspicious. Which is why I don't fall for Nigerian prince internet/email scams and why I don't forward crap on social media. Snopes.com is my friend.

• Dramatic? Not really.
• Lively? I've never been accused of that. Lazy and lethargic, yeah.
• Charming? Again, not really. More the opposite, I believe.
• Flirtatious? I don't even know how to flirt without making an idiot out of myself.
• Seductive? Laughable.

So, what does my love for chocolate ice cream say about me? That I love chocolate! Nothing more can be inferred. There's a poll on the site, so go vote for your favorite flavor.

And, on a completely different subject, I can't say enough about the AdBlock extension. I have it for Chrome, but I believe you can get it for other browsers. Just search your browser's extensions section for it. Why it took me so long to install it is beyond me, but it's made sites like Facebook a beautiful, clean place with lots of white space on the side. I also paid a bit to help support it. So, if you use it, consider donating because the guy who created and maintains it does so as his job now, and it's well worth a few dollars. There's also AdBlock Plus, but I don't know the difference and it says it's open source, so probably someone else is doing that. I haven't tried it, so I can't say anything about it.

Some Stuff

Not a good day, health-wise, but doctor wasn't really concerned when I called him. So, we're monitoring things.

Took a personality test on Facebook and came out ISFJ (Introverted Sensing Feeling Judging), which is one off from the longer questionnaire I did for here a few posts ago. The difference is that on the longer test, I was ISTJ, with the T standing for Thinking. I tend to think the ISTJ is more accurate, but the match for the ISJ is encouraging, meaning the tests map fairly well with each other, and that I'm fairly uh, stable. :)

Not much else going on. I had the day off and it snowed and rained and I was happy to be warm and dry indoors.

Personality Test

I can't remember when I last took a test like this, but I was in the mood, so here it is. I should check to see if I can find earlier results and compare. I'm an ISTJ, and interestingly, in the list of ideal job matches, librarian is included. The difficult part of this is that my answers to some choices would be somewhere in between the options, and there are aspects of one's personality that overlap typically into other types. I can't say that I fully agree, but I can't say I disagree, either.

House Works

Draw a House and have your personality analyzed.



As with other such drawing/analysis tools, this seems flawed. First, a lot depends on one's skill at drawing, and in this case, one's skill at drawing online. I wasn't nearly as elaborate as I'd be if I was doing this with pen and paper.

Second, it missed my whole literal-mindedness. If I'm told to draw a house, it wouldn't occur to me to draw that house next to other houses. However, I would think that my drawing a solitary house would suggest I'm at least a bit of a loner, but that got lost in the shuffle and my analysis said:

The above is the most accurate part.

"Once you have a problem, you need a friend with you. Your life is always full of changes. You are very tidy person. There's nothing wrong with that because you're pretty popular among friends. Your life is always full of changes."

The older I get, the less change I like. I'm organized, not tidy. I'm also not popular and don't always need a friend with me when I have problems. Sometimes, I want to be left alone to deal with things.

"You will avoid being alone and seek the company of others whenever possible. You love excitement and create it wherever you go. You see the world as it is, not as you believe it should be."

I do see things as they are, but wish they were different. I don't seek out others, though I do enjoy the company of others. I can be left alone for days and get so involved with what I'm doing, I'll barely notice I'm alone.

"You added a flower into your drawing. The flower signifies that you long for love. It also safe to say that others don't see you as a flirt. You don't think much about yourself."

I added a flower (well, 6 of them along the front of the house) because the thing said to add a garden and I figured a garden has flowers. I drew 2 trees first, then figured I should add flowers.
