Some new, to me, chocolate to review. Until recently, I did not know there were chocolate flavored Cheerios. As soon as I found this out, I had to try them.

At first bite, they didn't seem all that chocolatey, but by the time I ate a bowl of them, I really liked them. Unlike Cocoa Krispies, which always get caught in my teeth, these were nice and crunchy and not overly sweet. They'd make a nice snack, too.

Chocolate Cheerios

Chocolate has become a popular cereal flavor, but for me, some cereals just don't work with chocolate flavor. I love Kellogg's Cocoa Krispies, and their Chocolate Frosted Flakes are okay, but Chocolate Cheerios, from General Mills, mostly miss the mark for my taste buds. Specifically, these are Multi-Grain Cheerios Dark Chocolate Crunch.

The cereal consists of the usual multi-grain flavors plus chocolate ones and bits of chocolate crunch that sometimes was too hard, so much so, I feared breaking a tooth. It's unusual -- very unusual -- for me to not love anything dark chocolate flavored, but I'll be sticking with regular Multi-Grain Cheerios and Cocoa Krispies in the future.

Chocolate Snap Crackle and Pop

Sometimes, I get a craving for a childhood fave. This week, it was for Cocoa Krispies.

They taste nice and chocolatey, in an artificial way, of course.
