Glorious Gelato

Today I had the joy of tasting Amorino gelato. A shop opened near the post office I use and I had to mail a package today and so, was glad to see the shop had finally opened, as I'd been watching the construction over the past few months. The dark chocolate gelato is rich and chocolatey. They have gelato filled macaroons as well as waffles and crepes to try with their gelato. I'll definitely be making a return visit. Many return visits.

Haagen Dazs Gelato

I've been wanting to try Haagen Dazs' Chocolate Gelato for a while now. Finally, I could resist no longer. The supermarket didn't have regular chocolate, so I brought home this pint of Dark Chocolate Chip Gelato. It's not like the high end gelato I've had in restaurants and from specialty vendors, with a lighter color and more ice cream-like consistency, but the flavor is amazing. It's very chocolatey and so smooth as it hits the tongue. I need to find plain chocolate so I can try it in a malted.

Chocolate Gelato

Spent a few hours enjoying the High Line park Friday afternoon. Had a hotdog and a chocolate gelato. It was warm and clear, the first nice day in over a week. Here's the gelato.

Hot Summer Fun

I spent a lovely day yesterday strolling along the west side of Manhattan, along the Hudson River. I started with the High Line, then tried the Hudson River Park. At the High Line, I got some gelato. I am coming to believe that dark chocolate gelato might be better than regular chocolate ice cream regardless of brand. This was amazingly yummy, though melting fast in the unrelenting sunshine. I was worried I'd have chocolate soup before I got the photo taken.
