Jewish Humor

It's a good thing I'm not religious, or I wouldn't have been online today to discover this gem. It's a perfect way to explain to non-Jews what Yom Kippur is about, without all the religious explanations. ;)

Fun with Video

A couple of fun videos I found thanks to Miss Cellania.
The Animals House of the Rising Sun Old School Computer Remix. This is simply an awesome instrumental. There are others on his YouTube channel that are just as cool.
The Shark Song is a trailer made from clips from JAWS for an editing competition. A very creative use of editing to turn the plot of JAWS on its ear.

Awesomeness

I'm a big Tom Lehrer fan and this video, which I found on Boing Boing, is an awesome mashup of Lehrer's Element Song and Google's new Google Instant: Instant Elements. And as often happens, when I look at YouTube, I get a bit lost looking at other videos from the person who posted the one I went to look at. So, for fans of Mad men, here's a look at how much smoking they do on that show. And here's a video mashup for Google Wave and Pulp Fiction.

Some Unusual Fireworks

I love this YouTube fireworks video from PES. The other PES animations are wonderful, too.

Happy 4th!

Don't Stand on My Account

Apparently, standing cats are a big deal on YouTube. This one has been enhanced, but there are plenty of cats not in "boots" doing the standing act.

For Your Viewing Pleasure

I don't usually link to YouTube, or any media, actually, but this is a nice bit of library humor disguised as a commercial.

Okay, and this one, too. I hope I got these links right. I'm not used to linking to videos. If I ever had the time, I really want to explore YouTube more. Before they're forced to take all the good stuff down.

Heroes just keeps ratcheting up the excitement and surprises. Damn, I love that show.

One of my favorite bloggers moved to Journalspace: My So-Called Strife. I deleted my sub to it and tried to add the new one, but alas, no feed came up. So, Kirk, if you are reading this, let me know if there's a way to subscribe to your new blog. I am not joining Journalspace. I have enough blogs on enough services, thank you very much. If there's no way, well, I'll miss your fun, kitschy posts.
