I supposed these are the dog days of summer. It was actually a gorgeous, glorious day here in NYC, a fine day for a stroll on Roosevelt Island with a friend. But on the trip home, I was reminded how much I hate taking the subway on the weekend, due to construction and rerouted trains and other annoyances. But that doesn't detract from the day, which included kites! And no, we weren't the ones flying them.
