A Night with Sir Paul

Fireworks for Live and Let Die

Back to Citi Field after work last night for the second Paul McCartney concert. It was a beautiful night and the concert was great. No rain, Paul was in fine form and generally seemed to be enjoying himself (amazingly, he didn't drink any water at all during the nearly 2 1/2 hours!), and the place was really rocking. A friend and hubby's niece joined us, which was also nice. This picture is of the fireworks that went off during "Live and Let Die." The opening act, The Script (from Dublin, Ireland) were again good, although we were sitting up in the stands this time, and the music was louder there as the speakers were right over our heads. Paul's band was comprised of a couple of excellent guitarists and an enthusiastic drummer, and they did songs that spanned Paul's career, including a tribute each to John and George. All in all, a great night.
