While watching Stargate: SG-1, it occurred to me that no matter how different Ben Browder's role as Cameron Mitchell is from John Crichton (Farscape), he's not that different because they're both heroes and Browder has a certain hero aura that shows in both characters. Whereas Claudia Black's Vala is quite different than Aeron Sun (Farscape) with character traits that allow her to be impish and deceptive and playful, which makes it easier to believe she's playing a different character. At least for me. Nice use again of flashbacks for Mitchell, too.
It was also Lexa Doig's first episode as the new doctor, and the character is very different than the one she played on Andromeda: Romy and all her forms.
