- Spam is bad.
- All caps is shouting and not good.
- Smilies are unprofessional.
- Use subjects.
- Don't Reply All unless it's a small group and really, really necessary.
- Don't confuse its/it's, your/you're, their/there/they're.
- And uh, some other obvious stuff.

Great post! My peeve? Forwarded an email without removing the previous recipients email addresses! Urgh!
ReplyDeleteWell, your diagnosis may well be correct, but I suspect that "learning" these things may be part of your/you're problem. Duh. Was this a required workshop? Hopefully it was marketed to 'for the extremely doofus' at least...

Not only was I required to go, but I believe everyone in the system will eventually have to take it. The handouts had New Yorker cartoons, tho, so that was fun.

Right on. It seems people think of email as a conversation between the bathroom door. If you wouldn't send it in the mail, don't do it in an email.
