I saw this Virtual Piano linked on a few sites. Much fun, even for those of us not musically inclined.

Slept late, now have a headache. Did some cleaning, did some reading, played online, and now the day's nearly gone. At least I have a 2-day weekend.

Been Busy

It's been a tiring few days. Tired from work. Tired from all the stuff piling up here needing to get done. Stacks of things to be read, to be put away, to be tossed, to be organized. I didn't even realize how long it's been since my last post. Now that's busy! :)

I got an email about Chocri, where you can order custom-made chocolate. I don't normally follow up on unsolicited emails, but this sounded intriguing. Disclaimer: Not ever having tasted the stuff, I can't vouch for it.

More or less true, but I don't buy expensive, just good quality reasonably priced stuff. I think I got the expensive/silk result because of the store I picked. Just didn't prefer any of the choices as in never shop in any of them, so I went for the closest.

Really enjoying the new Human Target show. It's not all that much like the comic book it's based on, but it's quite entertaining.

When is a Cupcake Not a Cupcake

I saw this black and white cupcake in Zaro's in Grand Central Station today and it looked so yummy that I had to try it. It seemed to be a no-brainer. I love Black and White cookies and I love cupcakes. But the cupcake was more like a dryish muffin. The vanilla and chocolate icing top was decent. Not something I'd buy again.

Sender: Me (Not all that weird because I do sometimes send myself mail as reminders or to backup files.)
Subject: Hi, remember me? (I might be forgetful, but not that much.)
And Gmail helpfully shows parts of the first lines: Good day. I accidentally found a letter from you. I remember how we communicated with you. Y (it cuts off there and I didn't feel like clicking to see the rest, this was entertaining enough).

So, apparently, I not only am forgetful, but I communicated with myself before and am multiple people ("we") when I do so.

Funniest spam ever, but I'm sure someone will come along to top it. Seems to be some sort of spam contest out there.

Artful Sunday

Met up with a couple of friends today to go to the Museum of Modern Art. We'd hoped to see the Tim Burton show, but it was sold out. I still want to see it, but they don't allow photography in it, so that's another annoyance. So we walked around and took pics of the art we were allowed to capture in pixels. And as usual, I ended up with a lot of photos to upload to flickr, tag, and organize.

And now, back to work, which I mostly don't mind right now because I get to play with our new website and Facebook and Twitter accounts. Work meets hobbies! Can't beat it!

Yes, I'm Still Here

Reasons I Haven't Blogged Since New Year's

• New year's blahs, that's what it is. And I need extra time to practice writing '10 instead of '09. 
• Server at work crashed, so nearly no internet for most of the day. Then it came back up and crashed again.
• Have too much to do and am too tired to do it.
• Using a beta version of Firefox that freezes a lot and also takes forever to load some sites.
• Downloaded Chrome and love it, so I'm playing on it rather than blogging with it.
• Rediscovered FreeCell. 'Nuff said.
• Fonts. Finding. Downloading. Installing. A job unto itself.

Happy New Year!

Hubby and I had our traditional take-out Chinese food for dinner, something I didn't get to do last year while recovering from that nasty intestinal infection. Then I set up my toy party, something I've done now 3 years running. Or maybe 4. I tend to lose count. But it's fun to do. The above picture was from the filming session, processed through a fun bit of software called Poladroid.
