More than Selling Music

I ordered some CDs from a company called CD Baby that specializes in music from independent producers. Nice little site, not as much to choose from as I'd like, decent prices, and I found stuff to order. But the main reason I'll go back is this email I got giving me my shipment tracking number. Here's the non-private bits:

"Your CDs have been gently taken from our CD Baby shelves with
sterilized contamination-free gloves and placed onto a satin pillow.

A team of 50 employees inspected your CDs and polished them to make
sure they were in the best possible condition before mailing.

Our packing specialist from Japan lit a candle and a hush fell over
the crowd as he put your CDs into the finest gold-lined box that money
can buy.

We all had a wonderful celebration afterwards and the whole party
marched down the street to the post office where the entire town of
Portland waved "Bon Voyage!" to your package, on its way to you, in
our private CD Baby jet on this day, Sunday, June 1st.

I hope you had a wonderful time shopping at CD Baby. We sure did.
Your picture is on our wall as "Customer of the Year." We're all
exhausted but can't wait for you to come back to CDBABY.COM!!

Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Sigh...

I have to love a company that makes me feel all warm and fuzzy with an email response to my spending money with them. *Sigh* indeed!

Anyone else find an online company that enthuses them?

Feeling: but still stuffed and sniffly.

Wow, what a letter! Very nice. That's a company you can be comfortable doing business with. I love when people bring their sense of humor to things and add that personal touch.
Thanks for sharing, it was really nice to read about it.

  2. Yeah, I love the personal touch, even in a form letter. Glad you enjoyed it. :)
