Miscellany

Great cartoon by political cartoonist Luckovich, reprinted in Newsweek's Sept. 4th issue:
A scientist announces "New astronomy guidelines." There are two pictures on easels. One of a planetary body, the other of a man jumping on a sofa. Captioned: (Pluto) No longer a planet. (Tom Cruise) No longer a star.

Busy day on the reference desk phones. Mondays are always busy, but not usually this busy the last week in August. It looks like it's gonna be a stressful week.

Wish I had something pithy or even remotely interesting to post, but alas, I do not. I think I need some chocolate.
