Is it the Weekend Yet?

Yes, it's been that kind of week so far. Today, twice, I had to give a cranky patron too much time so he could tell me how unfair our public computer policy is, especially now that we are uniformly enforcing it instead of making exceptions. Gee, you'd think we were denying him air the way he kept at it. Libraries aren't about books, anymore, or even audio or video. They're about computer access.

I actually turned away from Eureka, which I do enjoy, to see the stunning end of the Cards/Mets game. Nothing like a walk-off 2-run homer for my Metsies.

Finally got around to ordering my sets of DC Comics stamps.

I'm working overtime tomorrow. At least, it's in the afternoon, so I can sleep late. I am so looking forward to that.

I found the hard to find Black Canary action figure I like and have it on order. The newer versions just don't do it for me. I don't like the costumes. I've been posting photos of my action figures on flickr.

Finally, in this rambling post because I can't think of what to actually write about, I've been unable to comment with my new Blogger username on non-beta Blogger blogs. If you have a non-beta Blogger blog and you allow anonymous commenting, then I can leave one. If you allow only registered users, then I can't comment until either Blogger fixes this glitch or all of us Blogger folks are on beta. Just so you know. I'm not ignoring folks. Really. And really, beta is worth this minor inconvenience. There is no blogging thrill quite like instant publishing of changes and posts. No more Republishing! Ahhhhhh......
