America in Concert

I decided to be a rebel and take photos of tonight's concert at the North Fork Theatre at Westbury of America despite the "the taking of photographs is prohibited by Nassau Country law" announcement at the start of the concert. So many people do it, especially with flash. I had my flash turned off. I think the shots came out fine, if a bit blurry because the guys were moving. Dewey Bunnell and Jerry Beckley are pictured above.

Christopher Cross, whom I never liked all that much, was the opening act and was good enough, but America put on a great show, a bit longer than they usually get. Last year, they opened for Air Supply and had the shorter set. Along with their own stuff, they covered The Mamas and the Pappas' "California Dreamin'" and The Beatles' "You're Gonna Lose that Girl," doing a great job with both.
