Concert Night

Went to North Fork Theater at Westbury to see Lou Gramm of Foreigner and Air Supply. Lou does not look like the photo on his website. He's gained weight, aside from the expected aging factor. But he was in fine voice and sang some Foreigner songs. His brother Ben was on drums and the two guitarists were cute and long-haired and kinda skinny, with great smiles. They really got into the whole performing thing.

Air Supply was, well, Air Supply. Theirs is a well-rehearsed, well-played, interactive with the audience act and tonight was no exception. They did a fairly full set and were clearly having fun. I got to shake Russell Hitchcock's hand during one of his sweeps around the audience. It didn't hurt that hubby and I were in the first row. There is unlikely to be a performer out there who milks a crowd more than Russell does. He was wearing tight red leather pants tonight with a loose-fitting orangy, black, and beige shirt with a few buttons on top unbuttoned. Middle-aged and still exuding sex. Is it any wonder his female fans go nuts? Okay, I don't go nuts, but I do enjoy watching him and Graham Russell perform.
