We got back one of our missing staff, the one out on sick leave. But she missed the training for the update on the computer system, so I had to do some training for her today. Still, having her back takes some of the pressure off. Now if I could only get more than 4-5 hours of sleep a night, I'll be fine. Or so I keep telling myself. Going to bed early just guarantees I'll perk up and stare at the alarm clock for a couple of hours.
I love Firefox, but the version I'm using (1.6?) has its flaws. It isn't showing complete popup windows for comments (ie, Haloscan, Blogger) and sites I allow popups from where the popup is vital (Bloglines subs edit screen, PayPal's shipping label screen) and it's not letting me resize most of them to show scroll bars or the buttons I need to click, so I've had to resort to opening IE for those sites. Very annoying. It runs slow, too. Now I'm thinking I need to download the latest IE. Maybe Netscape, too.
I lost the only bids on 4 of my eBay items for sale, all the same person, with a day to go. Seems the bidder is no longer a registered eBayer. I really don't need this kind of aggravation.
The utter ignorance of some people is astonishing, as indicated by this Overheard in New York quote.

Good to know we don't have a corner on the Stupidity Market out here in the midwest! :-)
ReplyDeleteGlad some of your stress is receding, too. Hang in there.
I don't think any place can claim they've cornered the stupidity market. I had a similar exchange with a library patron regarding our cassette books. It would be too long to type up but in the end, I just said, sure, fine, whatever you say, because she was just never gonna get it.
