Best friend and I think we're the kiss of death for restaurants. Almost a dozen restaurants and favorite little shops have closed in the months after we've "discovered" them. Jinx or coincidence? Intriguing question.
Seems whenever I really like something, like Unky Moods (gone for good) and Blogger Pets (and will those ever come back?), poof. And don't get me started on favorite TV shows. Sure, some go on for a long time, like Stargate SG-1 and Charmed. But what about Firefly, huh? Alien Nation? Even Farscape, killed too soon.
Meanwhile, I'm listening to the wind howl outside. We're on the 9th floor and there's nothing between us and Manhattan that's this tall. The wind is really whipping up from the west and smacking into our windows. Sounds like a blizzard, but the precipitation is gone, at least til Thanksgiving.
Starting over is tough. The old Creative Endeavors had 8 Bloglines subs. The new one has 2. But it looks spiffy and has photos and everything now. I hope folks find their way to it. I've posted new pics and have starting the long process of reposting. Until I get a paid Flickr account, I'm limited in my monthly uploads, a situation I hope to rectify by the end of the year.
As I said on The Write Stuff: I am reminded of why I don't usually do memes, like the describe me in one word one I posted the other day, that require other people to participate: so few do. Oh well. I guess I leave most people speechless. heh
Left a comment on a blog and had to type "yurtea" for the word verification. Doesn't it sound like it should be a word? I'd like a cup of yurtea to go with my yak and cheese sandwich.
Feeling:

miscellany
jinxes
Oh my...you and I have a lot in common! LOL. I loved Alien Nation, I loved a lot of the FOX shows that they have been determined to kill. Yes, at times I have blamed myself for watching. LOL. I can't figure it out, so it MUST be me! Or you! LOL. Hey , thanks again for the pimping of me. Now smile, we are fabulous!
ReplyDeleteAlways, Carly
"Yurtea" sounds like a medical treatment for something.
ReplyDeleteOn the other hand, you sound distinctly bummed, so maybe yurtea would help? :-)
That's it. Yurtea and ibuprofen for PMS! I think we've got the cure. :)
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome, Carly. Nice to know I'm not the only one who feels like a jinx. :)
