Domestic Diva Day

Given all the stuff I had to do this week, including voting (which was quick because there were no lines) and 2 doctor appointments, I've managed to get a fair amount of things done. I'm currently washing and drying and putting away the new dishes. The dinner and salad plates are a bit larger than the old ones, but they do fit into the cabinet, albeit with less room around them. The soup bowls take up less room than the old ones because the lip is smaller. I got rid of the old dishes and couldn't believe how many chips they all had out of their rims. Guess I should be glad we got 20 years' use out of them and they were an engagement gift from my sister, so they didn't cost us anything.

Then I went to drop my glasses off to get the lenses replaced with the new prescription. I'm wearing my older pair now. It's amazing how quickly I adapted to them when it takes so long for me to adjust to new ones.

I went to the supermarket next. Hubby usually does the food shopping, but I wanted to pick up some chopped meat and milk. I got more Teriyaki Rice-a-Roni, and got a couple of the Rice-a-Roni pasta meals, too, including the 4-cheese. Bought a box of kasha, too. Haven't had that in years and when I saw the boxes, I got a sudden craving for it.

After I get the dishes all put away, I'll craft or something. Anything to prove to myself I haven't turned into a house frau or something. heh
