The weekend is in sight, I don't have to work on Saturday, and hubby will be away. Had a doctor's appointment today to have my thyroid levels checked (results next week sometime). I'd asked for a flu shot, too, if they had them, but when I got there, the women at the reception desk were telling someone else the shots hadn't come in yet and my doctor concurred, so I figured I'd just have to see if we still had appointments left to get them at work in a couple of weeks. BUT, I had to go to the ladies room before leaving, which was a good thing, BECAUSE as I was leaving, the doctor's receptionist told me the nurse was looking for me. Apparently, a shipment of flu shots had arrived last night, the nurse had seen on my chart that I wanted one, so tried to call me back. It's all a matter of timing. I could've left and missed out. Instead, I got my shot and my arm is nice and sore now and I couldn't be happier. I hated not being able to get a shot last year.
On the not-so-good side, not only did I gain back the 2 lbs I'd lost, but I gained 2 more to keep them company. feh.
Really nice day, though. Went to the gym, went shopping after and found a dressy velvet sweater jacket thingie I can wear to bar mtizvahs and the like because I get so cold in the A/C in the catering halls and restaurants. I've been looking for something for a couple of years now.
Been making 100px x 100px icons for LiveJournal. It's a fun size to work with, like mini works of art. These cookies are one of them.
