Linking for a Better America

A lot of goodies this time, too many to list. Here are some highlights....

Library Pick-Up Lines and Librarian Responses, from McSweeney's.

A really fun drawing site.

From Generator Blog: Your name (or whatever) in various fun alphabets on the Astronomical Brainabetizer. This is Shelly in an astronomical alphabet:

And:

Generate a proverb. Here's mine:
AND THE OLD MAN SAYS:

"Lightning never strikes twice in the same chocolate."

From Libriananguish: Make a virtual painting on ArtPad. I planned to make something and post it here, but I kept erasing it and starting over and.... well, the thing's addictive, and I'm never satisfied. It's fun; try it.

This is so wrong on so many levels. I want my Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck to remain pure. Updating is fine, but this is an abomination. As Ann Landers used to say, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it." And I don't see anything wrong with the Warner characters as they are. Jennifer over on Chaos Theory agrees.

Also from Chaos Theory: Good news on the romance front; a gay penguin couple won't be broken up. She's got a lot of other good links up. Take a look for yourself.

The Presurfer found a Collage Machine for us.

Another sign generator, found on J-Walk Blog.

Spring is almost here and the baseball season has officially started with pitchers and catchers reporting for spring training. I love this time of the year, when one's favorite teams are full of promise. And with the Mets this year, that promise isn't as flimsy as it's been in the recent past.
