For Your Amusement

This Back of a Webpage tumblr is very clever.

Not much else today. T'was a medical test kind of day. Just routine, but a pain in the you-know-what, literally. ;)

Chocolate Ice Cream as Art

Happy Easter!

You Are a Pink Peep

You love to have fun, and in your view, the more the merrier. You enjoy festive parties.

You enjoy attracting attention - as long as that attention is for the right reasons.

You are able to relate to people on their own level. You are socially adaptable.

You are impulsive and dynamic. Your life decisions may seem arbitrary, but each one makes sense to you.

Good for My Ego

You Are Selfless

You are appreciative of all of the good things in your life. You count your blessings.

You are affirming and supporting. You accept people where they are, imperfections and all.

You are unselfish, humble, and altruistic. You get great joy from putting others first.

You are warm and welcoming. You will go the extra mile to make someone feel included.

These darn quizzes sure have been good for my ego lately. Of course, I would've preferred a choice with chocolate ice cream, but alas, there was no such option.

Success!

You Are Successful

You are efficient and streamlined. You're always ready to get down to business.

You are goal-oriented. You set goals often, and you almost always meet them.

You are gracious, charming, and downright nice. You truly like other people.

You are authentic and real. When in doubt, you choose to be truthful - even when it hurts.

Well, some of this is true. I'll let you guess which.

Feeling: successful ;)

Forgive Me, Blogosphere

It's been 5 days since my last post. Egads. I've been missing more days than not lately and I have no excuse. Not a good one, anyway. Call me lazy. Call me forgetful. But don't call me late for dinner. Okay, bad joke. Also, a very old joke. And I wish someone would call me for dinner because that would mean someone other than me would be making it.

Yes, I'm rambling. It's been one of "those" weeks. Anyone who has had "one of 'those' weeks" ever will know what I mean. This morning, for example, the library's public computer management system was under the mistaken impression it worked in a different branch. Rebooting fixed the problem, but I could empathize with it. Somedays, I wish I worked elsewhere. Still, I do love my work. It's the craziness that sometimes gets to me. Anyone who deals regularly with the public will know what I mean by "the craziness." I just got off the phone with someone who actually asked how she'd go about coming into the library. I suggested she just come in. Then she asked what she probably meant to ask from the start: What hours is the library open?

Nothing chocolicious to report. I have finished eating my pre-Passover Peeps. So far, I haven't met a marshmallow I didn't like.

I am also unexpectedly sad by ABC canceling All My Children and One Life to Live. I used to watch both shows, back in the '70s and '80s. I haven't seen them in decades now, but it's sad to know daytime soaps are nearly extinct. Truly the end of an era is upon us.

Something Not Likely to Be Seen in a Men's Room

This is on the inside of the exit to the Women's Restroom at Citi Field, home of the NY Mets.

Play Ball

Went to Mets Home Opener. And really, if I managed to sit through the entire game freezing my butt off (including the coldest toilet seat I've ever used when I visited the ladies' restroom), the least the Mets could've done was win the damn game.

I did manage to eat my first hotdog and fries of the season.

Have a Sundae!

Google brings us the joyous news that it's the 119th Anniversary of the First Documented Ice Cream Sundae, a true cause for celebration. And doing the search yields the official Ice Cream Sundae page. Yes, that's right, the Official Ice Cream Sundae Website. Such yummyness knows no bounds! Now I can't swear to this, but it stands to reason, doesn't it, that celebrating with an actual sundae would be calorie free, right? Just looking at the graphic is making me drool.

Feeling: hungry for ice cream!

Franki Valli in Concert

Frankie Valli

Hubby and I saw Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons last night. Of course, these aren't the original Four Seasons, just the foursome Valli's had backing him up for a number of years now. And looking at them, I think they should be called the Four Studs, instead. They're cute, fairly buff, and play well to the audience. Oh, and they can sing, too.

Happy April Fools Day

It's so nice that fools have their own day, isn't it?

Google sure knows how to celebrate April 1st! I especially like Chromercize and Body Browser.

I'm not fond of pranks, unless they're fun and harmless. Google seems to have gotten it right.

BaconAir, for when you just want a whiff. Found on Gothamist.

This Chromercise video is just the thing for fingers tired from clicking. There's even a website.
