Hubby and I Went to a Mets Game

Great Evening for BaseballHubby and I went to the Mets-Reds game. Nice seats on the third base line. Unfortunately, they weren't next to each other. Grrrrr..... And these are our new season tickets! Duckies came, too. And the Mets won, 2-1 in a well-played game. Before the game, the Mets honored their longtime broadcaster Ralph Kiner with a very nice ceremony, which is what's going on on the field in this pic.

Feeling: , but I should've made an icon for "mixed feelings" or "conflicted."

  1. How in heck did your hubby manage to buy season tickets that aren't together? That sounds to me like a whopper of a tale...

  2. It's a small section/box of 6 seats, 3 and 3. Our seats are numbered 3 and 4, but one's behind the other. Who would've thought that about consecutive numbers? We sure didn't.

  3. I wouldn't have. either. That's a shame you can't sit with each other, though. Once would be an inconvenience, but the whole season? Sounds like some horse-trading with one of the other seat holders is in order.

  4. Hubby moved down to sit next to me after the 6th inning when it was clear the other two seats were staying empty. But the two in his row were filled by another couple.

No one's gonna trade because it'll put them in the same position we're in. A call to the Mets office is in order. We hope they'll at least get us two seats together for next season.
