Bought lots of miniatures at the show and spent lots of money. Smashed right index finger in sliding van door on Thursday is getting better. The swelling is way down, almost gone, and the bruising isn't as bad, though still quite visible. The cut across the knuckle is healing and I can manage to use the finger to type and such now. I knew it wasn't broken, but it is nice to be able to bend it most of the way again. Typing is easier. Writing is easier. Life is good.
Aside from the gruesome injury to my digit, best friend J and I went to see The Prestige last night which we loved, and met another friend today for lunch and fun conversation. The Prestige is cleverly written, directed, and acted, with hunks Christian Bale and Hugh Jackman, along with Michael Caine, Andy Serkis, and David Bowie (as Nicola Tesla!).
