Still Catching Up

To Brian M: I got your package. It was waiting for me when I got home. No, I haven't listened to it. I think I've heard of one of the groups. I can't wait to see if I like it, but I've got a gazillion things still to do, including listening to the filk CDs I bought at the con.

I'm so sick of rain. I wanted to go out and run a couple of errands, but couldn't face the monsoon. I think the subways are running between Queens and Manhattan again. Laughably, the subways are supposed to be part of our evacuation plan if there's a hurricane like Katrina. Yeah, right, that'll work, given how easily the subways flood.

Spent the day putting items up for auction on eBay. My paranoia is telling me they won't sell just because 6 hours into the auctions, there are no bids yet. I know people bid late, but still. My first item, a bunch of Barbie furniture pieces and accessories, got 2 quick bids when I put them up Thursday night. As of now, what I make on that will end up paying the fees on the others if they don't sell. I'd hate to just throw out stuff if there are folks who'd want them, but I need them to leave. Can't declutter if stuff doesn't leave.
