I've got a new toy, as you can see. The deluxe model Librarian Action Figure, based on librarian Nancy Pearl who wrote Book Lust and More Book Lust. I already have the first in the series; she's wearing a blue suit in that one. I wanted the second figure mostly to get the book truck, which looks really spiffy. Unfortunately, the books came mostly stacked, with only a few loose ones, so they had to be stacked on the truck, not standing in order, ready to be shelved. Of course, this is more how they're piled onto trucks after we pick up books from the tables at the end of the day.
I had wanted to post last night, but couldn't get into Blogger, and now I can't remember what I'd wanted to blog about. And LiveJournal was down for a bit last night, too, something about a hacker attack from what it sounded like on their status page this morning.

ReplyDeleteI'm still waiting for the Library Patron Action Figure, with genuine shuffling motion, dragging half-a-dozen plastic bags full of cans and newspapers, who complains to the Reference staff because she's being followed by the number 11 and that's why Homeland Security is monitoring her dreams and Hurricane Katrina is a direct result of the air in here being a different smell from the air why are you staring at me your staff are all racists a good friend of mine who is an expert in demolition told me that the Twin Towers couldn't have collapsed and he has proof that the towers were demolitioned and there are four people in the trinity the fourth person is in the sneeze and there is an A and there is a B but there is no C and stop staring at me....
ReplyDeleteLOL, Brian, that would be loads of fun. Perhaps one Library Patron Action Figure could have straggly hair with flies flitting in and out. If they could work out the mechanics, having it smell like body odor, urine, or vomit would be most realistic.
