Meanwhile, work is almost like playtime this week, thanks to our new computer system. I'm actually having fun. Issued books, downloaded MARC records from Library of Congress and then uploaded them to the newly upgraded computer system (that's for you, Cat, heh), and adjusted some patron files. It's like playing a new video game. Work isn't supposed to be this much fun. I'm sure once I'm fully adjusted to the new way of doing things, the entertainment factor will vanish.

What's your new system? III or Sirsi or ??? We currently use III, but are switching to Dynix next year.
NYPL uses Dynix, but the system I'm talking about is the one we use for our Library for the Blind database. We have Keystone which is a fairly small, friendly company to work with.
