2. Where was your first kiss?
At the house I grew up in, by my mother's cousin's then-boyfriend. I've blogged about this before, last year when he died. He was 10 years older than me and on my 16th birthday, he asked if I was Sweet 16 and Never Been Kissed. I said alas, it was true, so he planted a wet one on my lips. I was infatuated with him before that; it became deep lust after. :)

3. Have you ever seriously vandalised someone else's property?
No.

4. Have you ever hit someone of the opposite sex?
Only person I've ever hit was my sister, but mock hitting? My father: little love smacks on the shoulder when he teases me.

5. Have you ever sung in front of a large number of people?
No. And no one would want me to.

6. What's the first thing you notice about the preferred sex?
Face, hair. If visible, hands.

7. What really turns you on?
A good sense of humor and a nice smile.

8. What do you order at Starbucks?
I don't. I don't go there.

9. What is your biggest mistake?
A few screw-ups at work many years ago that got me in trouble. I survived the trauma.

10. Have you ever hurt yourself on purpose?
No. I hurt myself enough just being a clutz. Can we say "paper cuts"?

11. Say something totally random about yourself.
I like that I don't have to wear my glasses all the time anymore. I've been wearing them since I was 3.

12. Has anyone ever said you looked like a celebrity?
No.

13. Do you still watch kiddy movies or tv shows?
I like cartoons, but I'm rarely up early enough to watch them, anymore. Or I'm not home. But I'll go to kiddie movies, animated ones.

14. Did you have braces?
No. I probably should have for a slight overbite.

15. Are you comfortable with your height?
Define comfortable. I'd prefer another 2-3 inches so I could reach the overhead bars on the subway without needing to stand on tippy toes.

16. What is the most romantic thing someone of the opposite sex has done for you?
Hubby bought me a VCR when we were dating. Well, I thought it was romantic. :)

17. When do you know it's love?
It kinda snuck up on me.

18. Do you speak any other languages?
I used to mangle French, but honestly? No.

19. Have you ever been to a tanning salon?
Egads, no.

20. What magazines do you read?
Newsweek, Publishers Weekly, Locus, Dollhouse Miniatures, Miniature Collector, Wizard, and Entertainment Weekly.

21. Have you ever ridden in a limo?
Yes. First time I went to San Francisco, I took one from the airport. I was looking for a cab and a limo service guy was soliciting rides and it wasn't all that much money, so I figured I'd treat myself. It was fine.

22. Has anyone you were really close to passed away?
Too many people. My mother. My maternal grandmother when I was 16. My favorite teacher (9th grade home room/science) when I was in college (I used to help him at the afterschool center at a public school when I was in high school.). My father's friends, especially A and H (H taught me how to yo-yo). My mother's cousin's hubby, E.

23. Do you watch MTV?
I used to, along with VH-1. Before they got boring.

24. What's something that really annoys you?
People who don't watch where they're going, people who stand in front of doorways, people who are rude. For starters.

25. What's something you really like?
Chocolate! Dark Chocolate. Science fiction.

26. Do you like Michael Jackson?
Hell, no. I used to like his music, before he became a mutant.

27. Can you dance?
I can move to music. Some might call it dancing.

28. What's the latest you have ever stayed up?
Uh, well past dawn. I once stayed up overnight, never did get to sleep. I was a lot younger then.

30. Have you ever been rushed by an ambulance into the emergency room?
No. Hubby drove me to the ER when I got severely dehydrated from probable food poisoning.

31. Do you actually read these when other people fill them out?
Yeah. And I love filling out questionnaires.
