TGIF

Nothing like a subway fire to bring a day to an early, screeching halt. The commute in this morning was not fun and it put me off balance for the rest of the day. That usually happens when I'm late. No time to sit and relax, read the paper, etc. I had to gulp down breakfast while writing the daily schedule and check email and before I knew it, the morning was gone without my having done much, or so it seemed, and it was time to take the reference desk. At least all the calls I took were relatively nice, though the guy shouting in my ear could've been a tad softer spoken.

Spent the night tweaking my website, mostly the colors on the links pages, trying to give it a fresh look without changing the templates. Also got the menu page looking better and hopefully, easier to read. Only made one icon for LiveJournal tonight. I must be slipping, but it got late in a hurry. Still looking for a purpose for my spanking new WordPress blog, and I am now very curious about the new Project Comet that Six Apart is working on. Supposedly, it will have the best of Movable Type and LiveJournal when it launches next year, whatever that means. But I'm eager to see what it is and if I'll want it. I've never been addicted to anything other than chocolate, so this blogging/graphics making thing is starting to get a bit bothersome, given how much time I spend on it. Must. Get. Back. To. My. Writing.

Nasty weather is back and it's supposed to rain all weekend. Guess I'll spend the time cleaning and doing laundry and not go out. I've got plenty to do at home after those chores are done, anyway, to keep me busy.
