Where Were You When Meme

Thought I'd try something new here, a meme of my own. Due to its nostalgic nature, I'll answer over on Retro-Spective. Anyone can play, but the questions are likely to date folks, separate the youngsters from we oldsters. You can answer in the comments, or on your blog. If you answer on your blog, please leave a comment and I'll be sure to visit so I can read your answers. I tried to cover a wide range of years, within my own experience. If you have some "Where were you when...?" questions of your own, you can leave those in the comments, too, or blog them.

It's said that some events get burned into our memories and we forever recall where we were when we heard the news about them. So, where were you when...
  1. Alan Shepard became the first American in space?
  2. John Kennedy was killed?
  3. Robert Kennedy was killed?
  4. Martin Luther King, Jr. was killed?
  5. Neil Armstrong took that first step on the moon?
  6. Ronald Reagan was shot?
  7. John Lennon was killed?
  8. The Berlin Wall came down?
  9. The US invaded Iraq the first time?
  10. The US was attacked on 9/11/01?
