Hubby and I just had our traditional Chinese food dinner at home. Orange chicken, sesame beef, sweet and sour pork, spare ribs, egg roll.... The food was okay, not great. The restaurant we loved is gone, replaced by a new one with a different name and not as tasty food. That's so typical for me. If I like something, it's usually doomed. Especially if it's a restaurant.
Work was uneventful and over quickly enough. It just doesn't seem like a holiday when the holiday falls on the weekend and I already got my day off for it this past Monday. It feels like the end of the week. I did try to get in the mood at work by switching my 2004 wall calendar to my 2005 calendar — Alex Ross' Mythology, based on the book of the same title with his paintings of DC Comics characters. It's really beautiful.
And here's hoping 2005 is better than 2004.
